Located on the North Western shores of Zanzibar, this large
resort, with its chic and modern décor, is a firm favourite.
All rooms have undergone a fabulous refurb and now showcase
Plan Hotels trademark white theme - stylishly peaceful. Each room
has a private terrace and sea views and is surrounded by exotic
tropical garden. Two restaurants and four bars all form part of the
resort’s all inclusive package, plus there is an a la carte seafood
restaurant on the jetty. The African Village barbecue is not to be

the Mvua Spa is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Gemma
has possibly one of the best beaches in Zanzibar and a great
dive and water sports centre too. There are also state of the art
conference facilities for up to 220 delegates. No wonder ‘everyone

at least once, at the Sunset Lounge and Bar on the jetty.

Great value for money, it’s an unpretentious resort with a fantastic
vibe; fun and involving. Accommodation is simple and comfortable,
the water sport facilities are brilliant – windsurfing equipment and
canoes are complimentary – the all inclusive package covers a choice
of three restaurants – the buffet is one of the best on the island -
and two bars plus a daily stocked mini-bar (soft drinks, water and
beer) – it couldn’t be better! There is also the à la carte restaurant
on the beach – but here a supplement is payable.
The low tide on the East coast adds to the experience when you can
walk out across the beach for 1.5 kilometres to the reef. Plus, for a
vibrant party atmosphere, you need to look no further.
