Mauritius is blessed with a tropical climate and is a fantastic year-round holiday destination. Temperatures range from the low to mid-20s°C in the cooler months (April to October), up to the late 20s°C and early 30s°C during the gorgeous summer months from November to March.

Mauritius is 2 hours ahead of South Africa. The monetary unit is the Mauritian Rupee (Rs) which is divided into 100 cents. Major currencies such as US Dollars and Euros, and even South African Rands, are accepted in most hotels and by many vendors. One fantastic thing to note that Mauritius is a visa-free destination for South Africans (in fact all of the locations offered by the Holiday Factory are visa-free!)

Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. In the evening, the dress-code for dinner is usually smart casual and gents are required to wear long trousers. You may also want to take some swimming shoes as there are urchins in some places and the corals can be sharp. But whatever you leave behind, take it as an opportunity for some retail therapy. Mauritius is a living and working island so you will be able to get most things you might need. In fact, you won’t regret a trip to the shops or markets.

The stunning over-water restaurant specialises in tapas-style servings of pan-Asian food, created by talented chefs with a flair for theatrical cooking. LÁrtisan
Offering specialist coffee, sweet pastries, and garden-fresh salads, the signature coffee shop delivers a cosy boutique vibe with smiling service. Perfect for a casual lunch or a mid-morning smoothie, pull up a low-backed chair and take a moment to refuel in our hipster-chic café.

La Pointe
Soak up waterfront dining at its best at La Pointe. The stunning open-sided pavilion and timber sundeck offer panoramic views of the Palm Grove pool and, mere metres away, the expanse of beach and the vivid blue ocean. Mauritian-style barbecues bring out the best from the local catch of the day, enjoyed with local rum cocktails.

Le Badamier

KIDS CLUB
The KidsOnly entertainment and day care programmes for little ones are designed to develop skills and inspire imaginations. KidsOnly day camp cares for 3 – 7-year-olds.
For the older kids, the TweensOnly and One Tribe caters for 8 - 17 year-olds.

Dedicated supervisors welcome little travellers to the chill-out zones, where they can meet and mingle with new friends. Treasure hunts, table tennis tournaments, five-a-side football, snorkelling trips, barbecues and bonfires, and karaoke are just some of the engaging activities which have been curated for them. Kickboxing classes and swimming lessons are also on offer for active kids.
