Mauritius is blessed with a tropical climate and is a fantastic year-round holiday destination. Temperatures range from the low to mid-20s°C in the cooler months (April to October), up to the late 20s°C and early 30s°C during the gorgeous summer months from November to March.

Mauritius is 2 hours ahead of South Africa. The monetary unit is the Mauritian Rupee (Rs) which is divided into 100 cents. Major currencies such as US Dollars and Euros, and even South African Rands, are accepted in most hotels and by many vendors. One fantastic thing to note that Mauritius is a visa-free destination for South Africans (in fact all of the locations offered by the Holiday Factory are visa-free!)

Take along your best beach and casual wear, perfect for the day. In the evening, the dress-code for dinner is usually smart casual and gents are required to wear long trousers. You may also want to take some swimming shoes as there are urchins in some places and the corals can be sharp. But whatever you leave behind, take it as an opportunity for some retail therapy. Mauritius is a living and working island so you will be able to get most things you might need. In fact, you won’t regret a trip to the shops or markets.

Comfort Rooms (Size: 34m²)
The Comfort rooms are ideal for budget-conscious couples or solo travellers. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults and an infant.

Superior Rooms (Size: 43m²)
The stylish and spacious Superior rooms are ideal for a couple and one child under 11 years. The Superior rooms are either forest facing or river/pool facing. A supplementary charge applies for the latter.

Family Rooms (Size: 43m²)
The Family rooms have a small second bedroom equipped with a tw0-storey bunk bed, perfect for children aged 3 to 11 years. The Family rooms are either forest facing or river/pool facing. A supplementary charge applies for the latter. 

Family Suites (Size: 59m²)
The Family Suites overlook the pool or the river and are the perfect blend of comfort and functionality with 2 separate sleeping areas and two bathrooms (one with a bathtub). Children from 3 to11 years are accommodated in a two-storey bunk bed.

Suites (Size: 67m²)
The Suites have a pool or river view. The separate living area is equipped with a sofa bed and the bedroom is fitted with a king size bed. There is a full bathroom including bathtub and shower. sofa bed.

Rum Shed
Enjoy modern rustic charm with authentic Mauritian touches at the a la carte Rum Shed. Flavourful Creole and steakhouse cuisine, an array of homemade and international rums and soulful music provide a dining delight.

Tam Tam Bar
Centrally located in the heart of the hotel overlooking the pool and courtyard.

The Pool Bar provides poolside bliss – snacks and drinks are served right at the water’s edge or under the cool canopies.

Beach Picnic
Guests can enjoy their own private beach picnic. Arrange the time and day with the Front Desk and pay a refundable deposit of MUR3500. On the day collect your 2 portable sunbeds, a beach umbrella and a cooler bag – which you can fill at TamTam Bar – and head for fun on the beach. After your beach adventure return the equipment to the Front Desk and your deposit will be refunded.

SPA
Shanti Wellness encompasses an airconditioned gym with state-of-the-art facilities, a dedicated space for Pilates and aerobics for the over 16’s and a serene wellness area with complimentary access to a hammam and a unique Himalayan pink salt sauna. Three treatment rooms are available for massages.
